B & I Contractors Inc. is an award winning full-service mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contractor specializing in commercial, institutional and industrial construction. B & I Contractors Inc was Established in 1960 by Gordon Harbuck, B&I has been an employee-owned company since 1986. Located in Fort Myers, Florida with satellite offices in Sarasota, Hillsborough, and Broward counties, the company performs work throughout North America and the Caribbean.

Established in 1960 by Gordon Harbuck, for 57 years, B & I has provided exceptional performance in mechanical systems, service, electrical, plumbing, and cross-discipline maintenance for commercial building contractors and the structures they build. In 1963 the original Articles of Incorporation were created and B & I still operate under the original articles. An Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) was established in 1986 and ESOP now owns 100% of the corporate stock.

30,000-square-foot group of buildings in Fort Myers, Florida, that also serves as a sheet metal and pipe fabrication facility, allowing us to respond promptly, reliably and cost-effectively to client needs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and building automation requirements. Over five hundred employees work out of our headquarters and satellite offices in Fort Myers, Tampa, Sarasota and Tamarac, providing efficient, comprehensive solutions in any of our specialty disciplines.
