The Burkhart Company was founded in 1977 by Tom Burkhart in Louisville, Kentucky. Tom always had a passion for custom woodworking, having picked up his first power saw at the age of nine. After studying woodworking at the Penland School of Craft, Tom turned his passion into a business. What started as a hobby and side projects, eventually turned into the Burkhart company, providing Louisville with the finest quality craftsmanship and custom woodwork across the city.
